The Autodesk Animation User Group Association of Northern Illinois has a good website worth looking at.There you will find some very good videos from the ‘mental ray Conference’ that you can download and view at your convenience. Also there are some mental ray PDFs made available by Jennifer O’Connor. Her "Mastering mental ray" (Wiley/Sybex) book is coming out in mid April. The PDFs are titled “mental ray Essentials 101: Fundamentals “ and is 47 pages of good info, as is the 24 page “mental ray Essentials 102: Lighting” I found this information well done and worth checking out.
